Photographer’s Profile
Originally from Chatham, New Jersey, I’ve lived in San Francisco since 1989. Since retiring from the medical profession I've devoted much of my time to developing my life-long fascination with photography. I’ve been using digital cameras since 2001, including a Canon 5D Mark II (a digital SLR) since 2011. I judiciously use digital processing software to render an image as I remember it.
My images convey the moods found in my subjects. I’m drawn to the grandeur of nature and the outdoors, both in large landscapes and close up. Then there's my love of black-and-white photography’s unique focus on form, texture, and light.
I've had a number of excellent instructors both where I live, and in a variety of workshops I've traveled to around the U.S. This year I've been to the Southwest on several fine trips with Arizona Highways Photo Workshops.
